Duties and Responsibilities: Is a broad range of medicine practices sharing common concepts which have been developed in China and are based on a tradition of more than 2,000 years, including various forms of herbal medicine, acupuncture, massage, exercise, and dietary therapy. It is primary used as a complementary alternative medicine.
Salary: The average salary is $52,000 per year.
Education: Requires that a Diplomat of Oriental Medicine completes three to four academic years of education at the master’s degree level in an Oriental Medicine Program accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
